What needs to be done in the test?

1. Vet the pdf for any issue
2. Vet the PDF which needs alt-texts and which doesn't
3. Prepare alt-text templates as per the shared format
4. Start work on the pdfs which don't require alt-texts
5. Share the alt-text template with SBS. We will provide the alt-texts
6. Once we shared the alt-text, start working on making the pdfs ADA-complaint which require alt-texts
   &. All the files must pass through JAWS (utmost mandatory requirement).

Basic Checklist (but not limited) for vetting PDFs:

1. Check the count of PDFs in the shared folder matches with the tracker,
2. Check whether all the PDFs name are mentioned in the tracker
3. Check whether all the PDFs are openable.
4. Check for any other issues.
5. Inform the client that vetting is done and let them know if there is any issue.

1. All equations will need alt-texts
2. All formulas will need alt-texts
3. All images will need alt-texts
4. Don’t skip providing alt-texts to any images.

Basic Checklist (but not limited) for compliance to follow:

1. All heading should be tagged perfectly.
2. All tables should be tagged.
3. Images must be tagged under 'Figure' with the shared alt-text.
4. All equations must be tagged under 'Formula'
5. All links/websites should be tagged under 'Link'.
6. Don't tag the metadata
7. On hovering the cursor over College Board Logo, alt-text must appear
8. On hovering the cursor over any images, the alt-text must appear
9. The property of the source MUST NOT be changed while compliance.
10. The language span must be filled. You will receive a few pdfs which will have international language characters.

Guidelines

1. Paragraph tag need to splitted at required places
2. Heading tag can be first tagged as P tag and then It can be renamed. This is to avoid tagging path including the Heading and also to avoid Reading and tagging order change.
3. Link tag should contain only the link address
4. Table should be tagged if it has Row or column or both.
5. In table empty cell should be TD not TH.
6. While changing TH to TD please change the Header cell scope to None and change it as Data cell.
7. While tagging list First content of LBody should be direct content and the next content should be tagged as per its respective tag (i.e., P or formula or figure or table etc.)
   8.Check for empty X Object and remove the same and check for visual change as well after removing X Object.
8. Provide either alternate text or actual text at required occurrences.

Checklist:

• Re Check the Table row and column Head
• Check bullet mapping (Select label in bookmark option so that you can check the difference in bullet mapping).
• Table Summary
• Link must have “https://” for web address and “mailto:” for email address
• Tag order Need to be checked (List hierarchy, Heading, link, paragraph splitting, formula & figure tag alt text )
• Reading order need to be checked
• Visual compare need to be checked
• Text quality need to be checked
• Bookmark need to be done
• Retain the Title, author, subject and keyword from the input do not change , if the input doesn’t have those details provide H1 as Title alone.
• Initial View:
 10 and above pages – Bookmarks Panel and Page , Single Page Continuous, Fit Page.
 Below 10 pages – Pages Panel and Page , Single Page Continuous, Fit Page.
 Single page – Page only, Single Page, Fit Page.
• Metadata need to removed.
